Jonathan Paton is back from Iraq. Stan Barnes is throwing a huge party. I'm sure that you are all invited. Here's the invitation .
Here's the coverage in the Star.
The state legislator who made international news last summer for voluntarily enlisting to go to Iraq was greeted by his father after a grueling six months in Baghdad, where he worked as operations officer at a major intelligence operation for the U.S. Army.
It's good news that Jonathan Paton is home safe, and congratulations on selling your house in a tight real estate market.
Now, since you regularly blast the MainStream Media for bias and selective reporting, isn't it time you gave your perspective on Rep. Koponicki's Floor speech this week in which he complained about personal threats against him because he spoke out against an extremist immigration bill?
Isn't it odd that the Democrats greeted his speech with a standing ovation while many, if not most of his fellow Republicans sat silently? Russell Pearce apparently wouldn't even look up from whatever he was writing.
Even your fellow conservative bloggers have commented. If you want to complain about bias, I suggest you need to have your own house in order.
those who are curious can read about it here: http://www.rumromanismrebellion.net/2007/02/20/when-will-they-actually-go-too-far/

Have I claimed that I'm not biased? Espresso pundit is a 1,000 page monument to my biases, opinions, obsessions, and idiosyncrasies. That's what makes it fun. If you are looking for straight news, check out my other site: espressostraight.com

Welcome back Rep. Paton! Thanks for your service to our nation!

Greg,
I noticed that Konopnicki's speech didn't get coverage on Espresso Straight either. And that the Goldwater Institute is the only advocacy organization that the "unfiltered" site seems to cover. Why is that?

Welcome back, Jonathon. Now that your first-amendment rights are unencumbered (not on active duty, and not subject to the Hatch Act or the UCMJ), consider giving those sissy Democrats a lecture on supporting the troops. The floor on Wednesday should be a proper time. We'll be cheering for you.

I am glad Paton is back and is safe. However, the fact that his "party" welcoming him home is being hosted and paid for by lobbyists and corporations like SRP, etc. is truly vulgar.
