When Flake rises to propose amnesty for 20 million illegals, the taxpayers grimace. How can a guy run as a fiscal conservative and try to save a few million here and there while supporting a giveaway of almost three TRILLION dollars to illegal aliens?

I for one applaud Flake for his efforts. There aren't many politicians left who will stand up for what they believe in when it goes against the grain of popular opinion and party leadership. Flake may very well be one of the last true fiscal conservatives left in Washington.

As to John's comment, you can label it whatever you want, but the last immigration bill was not amnesty. Regardless, believe it or not, there is political life outside the immigration debate.

Hopefully a conservative will run in the primary against him.

So don't call it amnesty. The cost to the taxpayers is undeniable, no matter what the label on it is. If he was a "rule of law" guy who wanted to secure our borders and protect our country, he might well be the best congressman in the entire country. But he lost my vote years ago when he started pushing for amnesty. And yes, what Flake's bill have been about is amnesty, even if Kyl's wasn't.

Well, if your a libertarian Republican - you might as well be one all the way to the end...
