Chris Herstam and I are going to discuss Janet's first 100 days tonight with Mark Curtis on KPNX Channel 12. I think the big question is whether or not she will reach 200.

I was amazed yesterday when she said we were passively monitoring for the flu at the borders on the Today show. I guess her handlers figured out that wasn't a helpful comment.
Another day, another Jayno gaffe:

WASHINGTON – Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is asserting that the description she initially gave of the border swine-flu monitoring effort no longer applies.
Appearing Wednesday before a Senate panel, Napolitano said that "passive surveillance" is "not an accurate picture of what is going on" at U.S. entry points. She had used that term Tuesday morning to describe the nature of the monitoring for illness.
On Wednesday, Napolitano said that U.S. officials are "actively" questioning visitors at the border, asking questions about "whether they are ill, their travel history and the like."
She also discounted turning to thermal meters to gauge whether people are carrying a fever, and Napolitano also said she does not believe the facts of the current situation would merit closing the borders.

How's this for a question: How big a screw up would it take for Napolitano to be fired?
I would say she hasn't screwed up nearly badly enough for it to be an active question.

How about just closing the border on principal? You know, stopping an illegal immigrant from raping 5 Chandler 14 year olds?
If that's not reason enough, to heck with a deadly virus.

The startling facts from what I listened to yesterday at the Hearings of the Homeland Security, between Janet "She's our Man" Napolitano and her "Passive Surveillance" and the always inept and shamnesty supporter John "God's Children" McCain, is that there is no contingency plans to ever close the border between Mexico and the US. John McCain is finding new religion to not lay nor condone any responsibility at his Senate office door step.
If the Swine "Mexican" Flu continues to heat up, there will be influx of refugees from Mexico STREAMING up to the Estados Unidos. There still will not be a need to close the borders because "God's Children" will be given free medical care under the auspice of the pandemic flu situation. From there, they will need to be monitored and kept in the Estado Unidos, so why not include them in a broad sweep of annoited legalization. Consider this as a part of President Obamateur Administration's new broad health care and worker program stimulus package all rolled into one.
