The Mainstream Media is starting to notice that Gabby Giffords is in serious trouble.
WASHINGTON - As President Barack Obama and Democratic congressional leaders scramble to find a new message after a string of election defeats, Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords appears increasingly vulnerable for her loyalty to the White House.
Just four months ago, the two-term Democrat looked so secure in her re-election that her district was rated solidly Democratic by the "Cook Political Report," a nonpartisan newsletter that analyzes congressional races. Since then, the rating has slipped to "likely Democratic" and then to "leans Democratic."
The latest drop came shortly after Republican state Sen. Jonathan Paton announced he was joining three other GOP candidates to challenge Giffords.
It's funny how elections work. For example, I guarantee that Giffords runs on a platform of fiscal responsibility--controlling the deficit, lowering taxes. There's a technical word for that type of campaign strategy..."lying."
I bet this picture of Gabby and Nancy Pelosi doesn't make it into any of Gabby's brochures...and if it does, the caption will read "Congresswoman Giffords demonstrates her independence by slapping Speaker Pelosi while Giffords' astronaut husband looks on..."

Could that statement include Republicans that voted for the Bush budgets but now are fiscal conservatives?

While I agree gabby is in trouble, the thing the gop has to worry about is money. She has 1.6 mil in the bank more than ANY dem in congress.
The gop continues to lag nationally and locally in raising money. So don't look for paton to get much national help with the nrcc having 1/6th the money the dccc has.

I thought having money was evil and made you a "Capitalist Pig". I guess the same logic doesn't apply to Rich Democrats with "old money". How did Gabby get so wealthy personally and how did she collect 1.6M more than any Dem in Congress?

Those running against her should use her pic w/ Pelosi. Pelosi is the most divisive woman out there.

Giffords is being sent packing soon. We are sending in the Marine, Jesse Kelly, down here in CD-8. He is further ahead than she was in 2006 when she won the seat.
Her brand is damaged and her career is soon to be over and I for one couldn't be happier.
