Earlier this year I mentioned that the things don't look so good for County Attorney Andy Thomas. He will have to resign it he decides to run for Attorney General and his sucessor will have plenty of time to uncover and expose improprieties prior to the August 24th election.
We probably aren't going to have to wait that long, because it's becoming clear that the wheels are coming off the Thomas bus as we watch.
In his ruling, Leonardo said:
* that Thomas was retaliating against members of the board of supervisors for perceived actions against his office, including filing a racketeering lawsuit against them in federal court.
* that Thomas was attempting to gain political advantage by prosecuting those who oppose him politically, including Wilcox.
* that Thomas acted in concert with Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who also misused his power in targeting members of the board.
