The Arizona legislature's response to its budget crisis is getting some national attention. It turns out that much of the government takeover of health care is paid for by the states. Some of the costs are simply shifted to the states and some of the programs provide such a generous federal match that the states would be crazy to turn them down.
But what if the States can't afford the program no matter how generous it is? Welcome to Arizona. Welcome to the future.
