Here's a pretty rational analysis.
Arizona’s offense is to attempt to enforce the nation’s immigration laws, in the absence of any serious commitment to do so on the part of the federal government or our political class.

The issue I have with it is the lack of guidance and cost to the state.
So are the police supposed to divert resources? If so where do you cut or where is the extra funding?
Also the state opens itself to lots if litigation that will cost the state money to defend. Money the doesn't have.

If the bill was so wonderful and so legal why dud the legislature choose to rewrite a bunch of it to make it MORE LEGAL?
