On December 22nd, the Arizona Republic broke this shocking news story.
Two Phoenix residents on Tuesday filed an application for the recall of Sen. Jon Kyl, citing their frustrations with the way Kyl is representing the state in Congress.
I pointed out that two guys deciding to gather a million signatures to recall Jon Kyl is about as likely as the same two guys conducting a hostile takeover of CBS. However the paper seems to have a policy of printing recall announcements no matter how lame.
Or maybe the paper prints stories about efforts to recall Conservatives and ignores stories about efforts to recall liberals...wow, I'm getting cynical. I can't imagine the Republic would do that.
So I expect to see a major story about the effort to recall Pima County Sheriff Clarance Dupnik--after all, it would only take a few hundred thousand signatures to recall Dupnik and the effort's Facebook page has nearly 1,000 supporters.
