Newspapers used to be run by wizened codgers who knew how to proofread. Under the new model, kids put the newspaper. Here's a great example of their work:
The newspaper "morgue" used to be an actual room full of old newspaper files and pictures. Sure, the term is morbid, but it is what it is. When a the paper ran a feature that included one of these old pictures, it was common to say that it was "from the morgue."
However, the grownups always ensured that the picture "from the morgue" was not run due to someone actually being in a morgue.
