A person can always infer something if so inclined. If you read the whole post it is evident that they just wanted to put some icing on the top of the post to liven it up.

One does not have to find the yin and yang of everything. I don't know what it is about the Libertarian bent, but it seems that no matter what anyone says, a Libertarian will try to find another perspective to argue.
Enough. This is indefensible. It may not have been purposeful, but it was at least negligent.
In my opinioin it was ridiculous, suspiciously pruposeful and worthy of rebuke however it came about.
Our friend, Dean Martin, deserves better than the ignorance displayed by the Republic. There should be some public apology for their thoughtless actions. If deliberate - - - I don't know what to say.
I had the same thought when I read it. Very weird.
